Koenigsegg One:1 – Swedish speed monster on Danish soil!
In connection with the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix and Race for Riget, some of the cars from Bellahøj Park drove into Rådhuspladsen, the day before it all starts, to show some of the participating cars to the public.
This time the Swedish mega car Koenigsegg One:1 paid a visit. A true speed monster that doesn’t compromise.
It has some impressive data.
0-400 km/h is done in only about 20 seconds!
It weighs 1360 kg and has 1360 horsepower. This gives a 1-1 ratio, hence the name One:1.
The Koenigsegg comes driving down H. C. Andersens Boulevard, and just after Vesterbrogade it turns left into Rådhuspladsen, where it attracts a lot of attention.
The Koenigsegg drives quietly across the square, while its 5-liter V8 turbo engine emits a quiet hissing sound.
People are ready with cameras and follow it on the road.
Before the engine is stopped, it is throttled up a little so that you can clearly hear that that engine contains vitamins of a special kind.
The doors open in a special way. They are kind of pushed up and forward at the same time.
The car is now on display for people to see how beautiful and detailed it is. A car built to stay on the ground at 400 km/h.
It’s time to leave Rådhuspladsen to drive back to Bellahøj Park. The Koenigsegg One:1 is started and leaves the square as people stand along the side admiring the Mega car from Sweden.

Koenigsegg One:1 - a mega car without comparison
The Koenigsegg One:1 is a car that breaks the boundaries of what we have previously known in the supercar world.
It’s not just a hypercar, but a mega-car – the world’s first of its kind.
Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2014, this exclusive machine gained immediate attention for its revolutionary combination of weight and power.
A technological marvel
The Koenigsegg One:1 is equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers a staggering 1,341 horsepower – exactly the same as the car’s weight of 1,341 kg.
This gives it an unrivaled 1:1 power-to-weight ratio, which is also the origin of the name “One:1.”
This power enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 300 km/h in just 11.92 seconds, which is faster than many other supercars on the market.
The car is also equipped with advanced active aerodynamics, including a hydraulically actuated double rear wing that helps create up to 610 kg of downforce at 260 km/h.
One of the most remarkable achievements of the One:1 is its ability to go from 0 to 300 km/h and back to 0 in an impressive 17.95 seconds – a time that beats previous records by several seconds.
This emphasizes how far Koenigsegg has gone to push the limits of performance in a road-legal car.
Design and construction
The One:1 is built with a combination of lightweight materials such as carbon fiber and titanium, which has helped to significantly reduce the overall weight of the car compared to previous Koenigsegg models.
Specially developed Michelin Cup 2 tires and Koenigsegg’s own Aircore carbon fiber wheels provide the necessary stability at high speeds.
The chassis is not only lightweight but also extremely rigid with a torsional stiffness of 65,000 Nm/degree, significantly improving the car’s handling.
Koenigsegg has also integrated a number of innovative technologies into the One:1, including 3D printed titanium components and an advanced 3G telematics system that allows owners to monitor the car’s performance in real-time via a specially developed iPhone app.
Limited production and exclusivity
Only six examples of the Koenigsegg One:1 were produced, making it one of the most exclusive cars in the world.
All six cars were sold before the model was unveiled, with most finding their way to wealthy collectors in China and two remaining in Europe.
The price?
A modest $2.8 million – a price that reflects the car’s extreme technological capabilities and unattainable status.
Koenigsegg One:1 vs. other supercars
In comparison to other high-performance cars, such as the Bugatti Veyron, the One:1 stands out for its weight-to-power ratio and aerodynamic design that makes it a champion on the track.
It doesn’t lack top speed though – with a theoretical top speed of over 440 km/h, it stands as one of the fastest cars ever produced.
The Koenigsegg One:1 isn’t just a car – it’s an automotive milestone that demonstrates what’s possible when technology and innovation meet at the highest level.
With its record-breaking performance and exclusivity, it’s no surprise that the One:1 is considered a legend in the supercar world.
