Cookie Policy (EU)

Bilvideo.dk uses Google Analytics to see how many people read our pages, and which pages they read. That sets cookies. So we ask you first.

Say no and nothing happens. No script is loaded from Google, no data is sent, and not a single cookie is set. We do not use the kind of consent solution where measurement keeps running in the background.

What you can choose

The first time you visit, a question appears at the bottom of the page with two equally sized buttons: yes and no. You can change your mind at any time by clicking Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Then you get asked again.

We remember your answer in your browser's localStorage under the name bv-samtykke. It is not a cookie, and it is never sent to us. It is just a small yes or no, so we do not have to ask you on every click.

If you say yes

We load Google Analytics 4 with measurement id G-48YWCSV7M4. Google sets cookies, usually named _ga and _ga_*. They hold a random id that lets Google see that the same browser has come back. They expire after two years unless you delete them yourself.

We can see visit counts, which pages get read, how long people stay, which country they come from, and where they came from. We cannot see who you are. We do not use the data for advertising, and we do not sell it on.

Google is an independent data controller for the information they collect. Read their terms at policies.google.com/privacy.

If you say no

Then all of it stays off. The site works exactly as before. Nothing on bilvideo.dk needs cookies to function.

The car quiz

Our car quiz saves your highest score locally in your browser, also in localStorage. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us, and it holds no information about you, just a number. It does not need consent because it is part of the feature itself, and it disappears when you clear your browser data.

When you click a film

Our films live on YouTube. The thumbnails on bilvideo.dk are served from our own server, so YouTube learns nothing about you while you are just browsing. When you click a film, it opens on youtube.com in a new tab. From that moment YouTube's and Google's own cookie and privacy terms apply, not ours.

How to delete all of it

Clear your browser data for bilvideo.dk. That removes your consent, the quiz score and any Google cookies, and you get asked again next time.
