Racing Festival 2014 with lots of cool supercars!
The Viking town of Roskilde has its own temporary race track for a weekend. It is built along the Østre Ringvej with concrete elements and wire fencing as security between the spectators and the cars.
This is where the 2014 International Racing Festival will be held. It is possible to take a ride in track cars, rally cars and fast supercars.
Examples of some of the cars that took part in the event:
Chevrolet Corvette C7
Porsche GT3 RS
Mclaren 650S
Suzuki Swift 2000
Peugeot Spider
Ferrari 458 GT3
Nissan GT-R
Lamborghini Huracan
Mercedes Benz AMG
The drivers are top drivers with extensive experience in motorsport – Danish as well as international.
One lap of the track is 3.5 km, with a roundabout at the opposite end of the start area.
It is possible to walk all the way around the track, giving you the chance to hear accelerations, see overtaking, listen to the cars’ own distinctive sounds in different areas of the track.
Take, for example, the super-fast Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4, whose sound is unmistakable, or when Erik W. P. arrives in his Corvette.
A diverse symphony of sounds develops as you exercise your body along the track.
Several of the drivers drift around the roundabout to the delight of the audience and probably also the co-driver.
All in all, it pulls you to get out and try a ride. It just has to be tried.
