Car quiz

Streak: 0Best: 0

Which one has the higher top speed?

Next title: Sunday driver (5)

Do you know your cars? In our car quiz you get two cars at a time and have to guess which one wins. But watch out: the supercar does not always win. A Smart turns in less space than a Lamborghini, a Golf has a bigger boot than a Ferrari 458, and an AMG A45 has more horsepower than a Ferrari F355.

A correct answer sends you on. One wrong answer and the game is over. After every answer you see both cars' numbers, so you learn something new even when you guess wrong.

How to play

Tap the car you think wins. The questions rotate between eight measures: top speed, 0 to 100 km/h, horsepower, weight, turning circle, fuel economy, boot space and model year. The cars are drawn randomly, and the difficulty rises with your streak. The first pairs are a warm up, but from 10 in a row the surprises arrive.

Titles you can drive home

  • 5 in a row: Sunday driver
  • 10 in a row: Club champion
  • 15 in a row: Track day boss
  • 25 in a row: Le Mans legend

Why does the supercar not always win?

Because "best" depends on the measure. A hypercar is built for top speed and acceleration, but loses on almost everything practical:

  • Turning circle: A Smart Fortwo turns in about 7 metres. A Lamborghini Aventador needs more than 12.
  • Boot space: A Skoda Superb swallows 625 litres. The Aventador makes do with 140.
  • Fuel economy: A Toyota Prius does more than 20 km per litre. A V12 supercar often does less than 7.
  • Weight: A Lotus Elise weighs under a tonne, less than most family cars and far less than the heavy hypercars.

Are the numbers real?

Yes. We use widely cited factory figures, and every pair is chosen with a gap big enough that the answer is never in doubt. Model years are the model's debut, and for 0 to 100 times we use the factory's official numbers.

Who is behind the quiz?

Bilvideo.dk has filmed supercars from the passenger seat since 2008: Bugatti, Ferrari, Zenvo, Koenigsegg and many more at Danish events like Sportscar Event and Race for Riget. The quiz is made by the same car nerds. Want to see the cars in action? Have a look at our video archive.
